Still really frustrated by this. I have tried everything, updating, getting new drivers, basically nothing has worked. Any advice other than just buying a computer that it would actually work on?

It’s possible you have both integrated graphics and a dedicated graphics card.
If so, then try switching to the dedicated GPU. This has worked for others whose issue remained after updating their graphics drivers (see here).
