Time-Dependent Grid Issue

Hello everyone,

I have a problem and could use your help, as I haven’t worked much with GPlates yet. I’m dealing with a time-dependent grid (70 Ma) and am trying to construct it in its present position.

However, every time I use ‘Cookie-Cutting,’ the grid shifts and no longer fits into the polygons.

Can someone help me with how to address this issue?

Hi Mathis,

Unfortunately the raster must represent present day data (in order to be reconstructed by GPlates).

Have a look at this post for more detail, and links to reconstructing a raster representing data at a non-zero time using GPlately.
