Paleo-coordinates of a present-day location

Hey everyone,

How can I plot present-day latitude and longitude on paleomaps in Gplate? I want to plot present-day location of some IODP sections to get its position in Paleoecene-Eocene time.
Is it possible in Gplate? If yes kindly guide me.

Essentially, you need to specify the PlateID that your points must travel with, as well as their switch on (begin) and switch off (end) ages. You can either make the plateid association in GPlates or do so ahead of time with a spatial join in GIS.
