Hi,The polygon in the middle is not a small plate, but is located between two plates. This problem has lasted for 5 Myr. I want to modify it so that it belongs to a nearby plate, and the speed of adjacent plates in this area can also be modified.
The little gap in the middle is not a plate, there is no velocity on it, I want it to merge into an adjacent plate and have a corresponding velocity.
You’ll need to edit the adjacent plate to include the gap. Have a look at Tutorial 5.1. Specifically Exercise 2 – Editing an Existing Topology
. It’ll show you how add and remove boundary sections in a topological closed plate polygon. In your case you might first need to remove the boundary section(s) on one side of the gap and then add the boundary section(s) on the other side of the gap - all this for one plate polygon to merge in the gap.
Also, be sure that the boundary sections are visible by selecting the menu item View > Geometry Visibility > Show Topological Sections
(the tutorial mentions it). Otherwise you won’t be able to edit the topological polygon.
