can someone help me? im having troubles starting the latest version of gplates.
That error message shouldn’t prevent GPlates from starting. I just tried removing my ...\AppData\Local\GPlates\GPlates\
directory and got the same error message (but GPlates started up anyway). Also the second time I started GPlates the error went away (because the directory has been created).
If GPlates is not starting then you could try installing GPlates locally using gplates_2.3.0_win64.zip
(from download page) instead of gplates_2.3.0_win64.exe
. That way you can unzip to any directory you choose (rather than have it automatically installed to `C:\Program Files\GPlates\GPlates 2.3.0’).
