I hope you’re doing well. I am currently working on a report focused on GPlates and I am in need of some assistance. Specifically, I require a comprehensive table (or any similar format) that contains detailed information about all the file types and formats that can be imported and exported using GPlates.
Your help in providing this information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mathis,
The export formats are listed here. This includes geometry and raster formats.
For import, there’s the following geometry formats (obtained by clicking File > Open Feature Collection and then clicking All loadable files)…
…and there’s the following raster formats (obtained by clicking File > Import > Import Raster and then clicking All rasters)…
…and 3D volumes are created by importing numerical 2D rasters (a subset of all raster formats excluding colours formats like png and jpeg).
For a lot of the above formats we use GDAL - you can look up more detail on their vector formats here and their raster formats here.
