Does Linux work on GPlates?

Chrome OS 94 has a feature called “Linux Developer Mode”.
It brings the Linux developing environment with the android operating system in “the blender”. This works for most Linux apps, I was just wondering if it can work.

I’ve not tried running on a Chromebook. But it looks like you can run Debian on a Chromebook. And GPlates runs on Debian.
