Hi all. I am hoping to plot some palaeographical reconstructions in .gmt showing the opening of the Gulf of Mexico. My plan was to export reconstructions using the Cao et al Feature Collection at FeatureCollections/Palaeogeography/Global_Cao_etal/*.shp as ogr-gmt files to plot in GMT Version 6.5.
Cao et al 2017 illustrates present day W. Africa and E. North America as sandwiched together during the Lower Jurassic just as one expects. In Gplates they are near enough in their present day continental geographies. Am I missing something here?
