Hi GPlates team

I was wondering if you know if it’s possible to rotate reconstruct azimuthal measurements attirbute data attached to points. For example, if I have the trend (azimuth) of paleocurrents measured at a modern XY point, am I able to reconstruct those points to their paleolocations with and rotate their associated azimuthal attribute data rotated along side?

I could change the points to short segement lines in the direction of the meausrement, rotate those, then and recalculate their azimuth, however I was hoping that it could be done as attached data.

Thanks agian for your ongoing support.
Danny

Hi Danny,

Have a look at this [forum post](https://discourse.gplates.org/t/paleocurrent-dip-direction-reconstruction/417/2) for how to do this using pyGPlates.
