# Create PolyonOnSphere with interior rings in older pygplates version 2.2.0.28

Hello:
May I ask whether it is possible to create a PolygonOnSphere with interior rings in older pygplates version - 2.2.0.28?
The more recent version of pygplates (at least 0.36.0), one can create a PolygonOnSphere with interior rings.

It’s only possible in version `0.36` and above.
Version `2.2.0.28` in the old versioning system is actually just `0.28` in the new system.
Usually the docs show which version a feature was added or changed. For example, for [PolygonOnSphere](https://www.gplates.org/docs/pygplates/generated/pygplates.polygononsphere) it says:

Changed in version 0.36: Can now optionally specify interior rings (in addition to the exterior ring).
```
